GLEADELL ST MARKET
What a fantastic day we had at the Gleadell Street Markets, where Richmond Water Polo Club hosted a community cake stall!
It was especially meaningful to hold the stall on Gleadell Street, the location of the Richmond Baths where our club was first founded. Throughout the day, many locals stopped by to share fond memories of parents, relatives and friends who once played or trained for Richmond. These stories reminded us of the club’s long and proud history and how deeply connected we are to the Richmond community.
The stall wasn’t just about cakes and slices. It gave us the opportunity to chat with people about water polo, explain where we train and compete, and spread the word about the sport we love.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, the stall also raised vital funds that will directly support programs for our members, from juniors through to seniors.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who contributed, from the talented bakers who prepared cakes, biscuits and slices, to the volunteers who gave their time to run the stall, and of course to everyone who stopped by, supported us, and donated so generously.
This day was a true reminder of the spirit of community, history and support that makes Richmond Water Polo Club so great. 💛🖤
