FEES
How Our Fees Work
Players are charged club fees at the beginning of each competition season. The amount is calculated based on the number of games, training sessions and the competition division the team is entered into, so fees will vary from season to season.
What Club Fees Cover:
Training
Coaching
Equipment
WPV Match fees
In addition to club fees, all players must register with Water Polo Victoria (WPV) and Water Polo Australia (WPA). Players who are new to the sport need to register when they join, while current players register once a year in September. These registration fees cover 12 months, from September through to August the following year. WPV and WPA set their fees each year, so amounts may vary from one year to the next.
What the WPV Fee Covers:
Insurance: Public liability, personal accident and professional indemnity coverage under Water Polo Australia’s policies.
Central Administration: Supports the running of Water Polo Victoria, including staff and office operations.
Affiliation: Contributes to WPV’s affiliation with Water Polo Australia and the broader national sporting structure.
What the WPA Fee Covers:
Membership Benefits: Access to exclusive updates, discounts and the Water Polo Learning Centre, which provides courses and resources.
Sport Development: Supports national athlete pathways programs and the growth of water polo across Australia.
