RICHMOND DERBY

Last week marked a Richmond first, four of our State League 2 teams went head-to-head in a Richmond v Richmond derby.

It was more than just two games of water polo. Both matches told a similar story: experience versus youth. For our club, it was a full circle moment, with our juniors stepping up to challenge their mentors (and sometimes coaches), testing themselves against the very people who have guided their development through our junior program.

The competition was fierce, the energy in the pool electric, and every athlete had something to prove.

So who won? In the end, it was water polo…and Richmond, of course.
