AUSTRALIA CUP 2025

Four big days of water polo in Canberra have come to an end, and we couldn’t be prouder of how our Tigers represented Richmond throughout the tournament.

Our women’s team finished the competition on a high, claiming the Bronze Medal with a strong 13–10 win over 68 Sports x CWPA in the 3rd place playoff.
A special thank you to Steph Jacobson from Footscray WP/DVE Water Polo for joining us for the tournament, we loved having you on board.

The men’s team contested the 5th place playoff, going down 9–6 to the UWA Torpedoes in a hard-fought match after an intense four days of competition. The boys put together a strong showing across the tournament against quality opposition.

Both squads were an amalgamation of junior and senior players, and the growth in connection, resilience and teamwork across the week was clear to see.

A huge thank you to our coaches Rowie, Rowan and Spindles for guiding the teams through a demanding schedule and expertly managing a mixed group in a high-pressure environment.

We’d also like to thank Canberra Water Polo Academy for hosting such a fantastic event, we loved every minute of it.
