RICHMOND WATER POLO CLUB

Richmond Water Polo Club was established in 1921 and proudly stands as one of Victoria’s most respected and long-standing water polo clubs. With over 250 active members, we field teams across all junior age groups for both boys and girls, along with multiple teams in the Men’s and Women’s State League competitions.

Over the past decade, the club has placed a strong emphasis on junior development, resulting in one of the most successful youth programs in the state. This is evident in the depth of participation and the number of junior teams we support each season.

In addition to competing in Water Polo Victoria competitions, our teams also have the opportunity to travel and compete at tournaments around the country. Richmond runs year-round junior development programs and holiday camps—providing young athletes with valuable opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive in the sport.

OUR MISSION

At Richmond Water Polo Club, our mission is to support every member in becoming the best water polo player they aspire to be—competing at their highest level, enjoying the journey, and fostering a life-long love of the sport.

We value respect—for teammates, opponents, and officials—and promote a positive culture both in and out of the pool.

Our goal is to build a club that is welcoming, inclusive, supportive, and driven by shared success.

OUR VALUES

Richmond Water Polo Club is built upon five core values: Support, Success, Inclusion, Fun and Fairness. These values guide our actions and decisions, defining our club's identity.
